July Haul

Just wanted to stop by and show you all few things I've picked up this month. I'm mostly trying to get my fall wardrobe ready sinse I've got loads of summer clothes. Most of this stuff was on sale !

Clothes

I am absolutely infatuated with the Beverly Drive Collection at Sears. Some say Sears is an "old persons' store".. um NOT! I saw these jeans a few months ago and have eye-balled them ever since. So, as soon as I had the money, they went on sale for 21.99; I bought them. Simple (:

The story about this outfit is a sort of comical one. When I got done with my first year of college, my best friend/roommate told me she was going to ask her mom for something since she finished her first year successfully, ya know. Well, I asked my mom for this outfit from Torrid. After I told her how much it would cost I got the, O.o ,  look ! Yeah, wasn't gonna happen ! THEN, I did my occasional online "window shopping". Come to find out this little ensemble was on clearance and even better than that, it was buy one get one 50% off! The shirt came up to be $10 and the pants were $20. The shirt and pants are a little big, but I'm going to make due. Maybe get them tailored.

It Feels Good to be Queen shirt, in honor of the 2012 Olympics! Lane Bryant $39.95

A bangin' pair of loafers from Lane Bryant. $29.95

Betsey Johnson bag from Plato's Closet. Only $16.00 !

Makeup

I've been looking for a good highlighter and bronzer for a while now, but I don't want to pay big bucks for it. I was at Walmart with my cousin and I came across this little duo by Hard Candy called Glow Away. I like it so far. My skin a little darker than the bronzer but I love the glow it gives me. For $6, it's definitely not a waste.

I've also been looking for a peach lipstick. This one is Revlon's Peach Me. Love it! This was $5 I think.

Lashes fa' days! These are also from Walmart. They're the Salon Perfect Demi Wispies. I'd been needing a pair of lashes. These were about $5.
(I've used them already.. hehehe)

Hair

Since I'm mixed, I always need to put some sort of cream in my hair. My hair isn't super dry so I don't necessarily need hair grease but I does get dry. I'm always down for trying different products on my hair. This is a split end treatment from Treseme. $5

Nails

I bought these Forever 21 nail polishes because I've been wanting to try them just haven't thought about them. One night, I just bought them on an impulse buy.. and so far, so good ! $2.80 each
 Peach/Touch of Taupe
Crystal Glitter/Miss Sunshine

Random

I got this platter at a thrift store. It was only $1.25. I wanted to put my perfumes and lotions and what-not on it. Just so it looks cute and festive.

I hope you enjoyed !

  3. Love the nail polish colors you got, the yellow, taupe, and peach/coral color are really in for the summer season... I think the taupe would probably do well in the fall too. I also really love those loafers, very cute!

  4. Thank you ! The Coral and Yellow are not as bright when you apply them, which could also work for fall. It can add a little pop of color to a darker outfit.

  5. Essie has a color, Smokin' Hot. It's like a smokey grey/purple color that I can't wait to put to good use this fall. Looks like you found some great stuff!!
